Started in January 2015 by Eliza Romero - a fashion photographer, style blogger, content creator, educator, social justice advocate, and pop culture critic - Aesthetic Distance was a way to finally create her "dream job" by combining her passions of art, fashion and photography. Early on she began to share her entrepreneurial journey via blogging outfit posts and new fashion editorials that she photographed. People started to take notice and the response was incredible. That's when Aesthetic Distance shifted from being a blog to a calling. It has become a vehicle to inspire, encourage and support fellow females in their endeavors.

Prior to starting her creative agency, Eliza was educated at The University of Maryland, College Park where she majored in Art History and Archaeology and minored in Studio Art. She then earned her Masters Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Photography and Visual Communications.

The Aesthetic Distance ethos is to promote inclusivity, self-acceptance and intersectional feminism through art, fashion and beauty.

Eliza and her team of models and makeup/hair artists provide full creative direction and production on fashion editorials and short films to brands who are interested in the Aesthetic Distance vibe.

Aesthetic Distance is more than just a blog. It is Eliza's vision combined with her passion and talent for visual storytelling and building community.
