A couple of years ago, I was totally BASHED online for blogging that Prince Harry and Princess Meghan should run far, far away from the Royal Family, especially after seeing what they did to Princess Diana. It's an outdated institution that doesn't deserve anyone's respect.
If you aren't someone who follows the Royals, some context here is that many argue the palace has clearly allowed (perhaps even fed) the racist press attacks on Meghan in order to distract from Prince William's infidelity and pervy Prince Andrew's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. And Harry has. HAD. IT.
The last time a high profile member of the Royal Family quit their royal duties was in 1936 when Prince Edward VIII infamously abdicated his throne so he could be free to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. It worked out well for him.
Best of luck to Harry and Meghan.
Here is my original blog post from 2017. Fans of the Royal Family were pissed at me for bringing up the theory that the family planned the car accident that led to Princess Diana’s tragic death. In light of everything that’s happened since, I’d say it’s aged quite well.
I usually do a write up of the events I’ve organized or hosted and my most-read articles at the end of the year. This was an unusual year (obviously, there is no need to go into it here) so I didn’t bother. Instead I want to highlight a project of mine that I am particularly proud of — it’s my new podcast show, Unverified Accounts, that I cohost with my frequent collaborators, Chris Jesu Lee and Filip Guo. If you're a big movie/TV/book buff, have leftist sympathies, but can't stand 'wokeness' dumbing down our culture, then we're the podcast for you. So far in our 25 episodes, we’ve covered a range of contentious topics.
