Something to discuss for Baltimore folks (and anyone else who would like to chime in): A medical marijuana dispensary will be opening in Baltimore County. Some homeowners are nervous that this will result in an increase in crime rates in the neighborhood, which would decrease the value of their homes.
My thoughts are:
1) I see this as a huge income driver and medical marijuana itself as a positive new industry (way better than alcohol IMO).
2) Medical dispensaries in other states like Maine are actually helping to improve the communities by offering incentives to people who clean up trash and recycle around the neighborhood. I hope Baltimore follows their example.
3) It will also decrease people's dependency on purchasing their weed off the black market.
4) Branding will be of utmost importance here. The marijuana dispensary CANNOT look like some trashy ass vape spot. It needs to be clean, modern and professional.
