History tends to repeat itself, especially when it comes to beauty and fashion. Although the 90s have been back for a few years, I think 2016 is going to see its biggest comeback yet. In fact, all over the Spring/Summer fashion week runways, the 90s was the biggest trend. It's all about rave culture, minimalism, backpacks, grunge and fanny packs. I for one am thrilled about getting the chance to redo my middle and high school years. I used to pore over each Delia's catalog RELIGIOUSLY when it arrived in the mail. I would circle all the items I wanted and then slowly start to narrow them down before actually ordering.
Lately it seems like everywhere you look there are signs of a 1990s revival brewing in the cultural zeitgeist. Consider the evidence: Post-feminism is grabbing headlines again. Trainspotting is slated for a sequel. Surge, the citrus soda (hello, ravers!!) is resurging. We are in the midst of another digital boom and the Clintons might be returning to the White House. - W Magazine
I had makeup artist and beauty blogger Lexi Lazaro model the best of the 90s trend when she was in the studio over the weekend. Like with all decade revivals, it's all about modernizing and making it your own.
This is how we do it...
