This week was jampacked with photoshoots and on Monday, a huge collaboration between myself, HMUA Courtney McCormick, stylist Megan Larkin, models Ally and Melanie Blankenship, Novelty Haus, Mandalynn Swim and Monster Lou. Since it was a huge collaboration, this is a picture heavy post filled with behind the scenes shots and the final product shots of all the pieces from each designer's new collections.
Novelty Haus, owned by Noel Conrad, is located in Clipper Mill in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore. His studio/shop carries his line of t-shirts and an eclectic assortment of toys (mostly from Japan), books and records. If you see me wearing a graphic tee, chances are that it's one of his.
Mandalynn Swim, owned by Baltimore native, Amanda Dukeheart, is a swimwear line "meant for a confident, flirty, cheeky girl who wants a unique and playful look. All of the styles are made with picot lingerie elastic which give a soft and forgiving fit." I've been a fan of Mandalynn Swim bathing suits since I discovered the brand on Instagram and was pretty stoked to find out that it was Baltimore-based.
Monster Lou is another Baltimore-based clothing line and is owned by Lindsay Michael. Lindsay creates Harajuku-inspired clothing and describes her brand as "a 50s diner in Tokyo and The Cramps are playing." In other words, nothing but fun!
